Well what a day. We made a great profit to support our club projects this year, specifically our Youth Programs and RFDS. It was also the first time we trialed taking EFTPOS payments which was very successful.
Geoff, you amazed us. Only a few weeks out of hospital after your operation. We could see the pain on you but you just kept going. Thanks mate, great chef.
Peter, great job on getting a mental workout with all the orders shouted at you, we really appreciated your help. Both Peter and I survived on panadol all day.
Tara does not like early morning but she did arrive before 7.30. Tara, what a splendid day. Your legs were aching as well. Thanks for helping Peter and myself in the orders. Electronic sales, you are a champ.
Ian, our captain, helped in different roles and even decorated the sausages with sauce.
Great meeting Pam a Past Secretary and President from Tweed Coast Rotary Club. Pam is looking for a new club. Ian did his membership dance. Please welcome Pam on Tuesday night.
Sheryl did a great job decorating sausages as well. Thank you. Thanks for cleaning and packing up as well.
Narelle was a server, collecting sausages for Decoration. Thank you. Narelle also added extra humour.
I had a little rest in the afternoon as we could only have 5 working volunteers in Covid control walkways. [Addition by Tara: Heather worked exceptionally hard all day and mostly refused to sit still. She had also done hours of preparation in the days preceding the BBQ to make sure everything ran smoothly. We could not have made it through the day without her.]
Angelo, what can I say, the great chef. Angelo, the BBQ was cleaned to perfection. The staff had not ever seen the BBQ so clean. They were stoked. There were little helpers for Angelo.
You are all champions
