“Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.” (Excerpts from Rotary.org)
Our Mission
We provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
The Rotary Foundation:
The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International that transforms donations into projects that change lives. It taps into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Foundation grants empower Rotarians to approach challenges such as poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition with sustainable solutions that leave a lasting impact.
Members of the Rotary eClub of NextGen support the Rotary Foundation by annual $100 donations with their club dues, as well as personal additional donations and Paul Harris Society Member donations.
Australian Rotary Health
Australian Rotary Health is one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia. It also provides funding into a broad range of general health areas, and scholarships for rural medical and nursing students, as well as Indigenous health students. Australian Rotary Health provides funding into areas of health that do not readily attract funding, and promotes findings to the community.
Members of the Rotary eClub of NextGen support Australian Rotary Health through fundraising on our Tag-Along tours as well as individual member projects such as the Ian Loxton Pancreatic Cancer PhD Scholarship. This scholarship has so far sponsored two students through their PhD research.
